How to find people looking for alternatives
People looking for alternatives already have a product and a complaint. They write “alternative to”, “switching off”, or “replace our”. Those posts are high-context leads if, and only if, your product covers the complaint they named.

Search the switch, not the logo
A competitor’s name plus “alternative” is a start. The better query includes the complaint: price changes, missing permissions, a broken export, a support wait. You are not entitled to the post just because they named a rival. You are relevant if you solve that complaint.
Do not invent their pricing or your win
Do not publish a rival’s price unless you have verified it, and do not tell the poster you are “better” in the abstract. Quote the limitation they already wrote and say whether your product covers it. NedlyGo’s comparison pages follow the same rule: workflow differences, not a fake scoreboard.
Drop alternatives you cannot replace
Some switchers want a feature you do not have. Qualification should drop them even though the word “alternative” appeared. NedlyGo judges the post against your website for that reason. A keyword alert on a competitor name will not.
Questions
- Should I name the competitor in my reply?
- Only if they did, and only to address the limitation they raised. Do not turn the reply into a comparison grid.
- Does NedlyGo track competitor prices?
- No. It does not collect or display other companies’ pricing.
