How to find early adopters for a SaaS

Early adopters are not the whole market. They are the people who feel the problem now and will tolerate a missing edge. You find them by the complaint, not by a persona slide. A public post is often enough to tell the two apart.

They describe the pain without your name

An early adopter writes the workaround before they know you exist. Search that language. If you only search people who already follow your account, you are talking to an audience you already have.

They accept a narrow first version

Someone who demands every feature of the incumbent is a later buyer. Someone who says the one missing step is costing them this week can try a narrow product. Say what the first version does not do. Hiding the gap wastes their time and yours.

You need a few, not a hundred titles

Ten conversations with people who have the problem are a start. A hundred names with the right job title are not. NedlyGo is useful here because it keeps the post, not a guessed contact at a company.

Questions

Are early adopters the same as free users?
Not always. The test is whether they have the problem and will try the narrow product, not whether the plan is free.
Where should I look first?
Public questions on Reddit. Add other networks only after that language is clear.
